Many thanks to Michel Chaple and Jacques Malleyran for the very nice moment they offered us at the occasion of the first "Elegance" contest of the Cannes Automobile Club.

Of course at first the exercise could seem very old-fashioned... But actually we got very quickly hooked into the game ! Finally we opted for a complete "Le Mans" style (Climax goggles, "Gulf" race suits, "Jet" helmets...) in order to introduce our AC Cobra to the Jury... Before splashing it out with the champaign of the victory!!!

The "Beauty and the Beast" in Cannes!!!

On top of the AC Cobra, Rent A Car Classic had brought a 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible to the 2009 "Elegance" contest of the Cannes Automobile Club. This car was presented by Marie-Anne and Frederic Gérin.

In a very "Rock'n roll" style, fitting perfectly the Mustang, Marie-Anne and Frederic have dared a very "Sexy" presentation, some members of Jury have not fully recovered yet...

Between "Astrakan" fur, "Swinging London" mini-skirt and Saville Row well-tailored suit the Mustang "made the show" and won two trophies : the 2nd price of the Contest... And the "leek" awarding "hesitating" starts... Despite the auto trans!!!

Passion Palaces

Passion Palaces is a very special magazine, it is exclusively available in the 2500 rooms and suites of the 17 "Palaces" making the French Riviera legend : Chèvre d'Or, Hôtel de Paris, Carlton, etc. Also we had a very nice photo shooting in the AC Cobra with Olivier-Vincent Maréchal, between battery failure in front of the Monaco Casino... And "flat-out" climb of the "dogtooth" hill! (May 2009).

For every classic car enthusiast in the world Classic & Sports Car is an authority, the magazine is truly a "Bible"!!! To say the least we have been hugely proud to partner with C&SC, the Beau Rivage Hotel, Air France and the ACN in order to offer a reader a "dream week-end" on the French Riviera in our RAM Cobra, a competition featured on the cover of the summer issue!!! We are always very happy to be featured in La Vie de l'Auto, the everlasting weekly reference for classic car motoring in France ! Our Porsche 718 RSK Spyder has been chosen to illustrate the huge success of the Rallye Jean Behra's 2010 edition, organised in a masterly fashion by the Nice Automobile Club with Rent A Car Classic's partnership... Partnership and above all participation with no less than three cars on the finish line!!! (October 2011).

Thus when a journalist from the English FHM got in touch with us for a project of article about the "French Riviera" we were a bit skeptical? We were rather picturing them in a Lamborghini Gallardo or Audi R8? However it's our 1967 Mercedes 250 SL "Pagoda" that Matt and Stuart chose to test night-clubs between Saint-Tropez and Monaco ... What a good taste!!! (October 2011).

F2T, Australien incentive specialist, gave us carte blanche to devise a road-book between hardline sports car motoring and Italian Dolce Vita. In the menu "palaces" in Monaco and San Rémo, Truffestatsing in Alba, hairpin turns in the Italian Alps and long straights through the Pô valley, before a triumphant finish in Milano in front of the Duomo! An unforgettable memory for all our staff too... (Spring 2011).

From the first days of Rent A Car Classic we have been dreaming to add a Facel Véga to our "collection". The tormented story of this "French Aston Martin", which saw only a few hundred of each model being produced, is a true passionates' adventure, an enthusiasts' challenge in which we find us back completely...

The opportunity came up last year, in the form of a 100% complete 1963 examplary, stopped since... 1973!!! Since then we work hard in order to offer it to you, it will be the first and the only Facel Vega in the world available for self drive hire!!!

You can follow the steps of its restoration on our You Tube Channel... It runs already !!!

When Fandango films contacted us we were far from suspecting that our Porsche 356 Speedster would be the star of a sequence from the number one reality TV show of VoxNow, the German TV channel!!!

"Mieten, kaufen, whonen" is a reality TV show dedicated to... Real Estate!!! The pitch, buy or sell a property in front of the cameras, and there all is fair ... One of the busty candidates had chosen our Speedster to impress her client and sell him a dream property in Cannes.

Drive on the Croisette to the "flat four" music, private beach and "glamorous look" ... What a pleasure to see our Porsche 356 Speedster "in good hands" !!! (Spring 2012).
